Ini 61 Nama di "Paradise Paper", Tak Ada Bukti Pelanggaran Kenapa Heboh?


Republikin.com ~ Bocoran dokumen yang disebut Paradise Papers (Dokumen Surga), mencakup 13,4 juta dokumen, sebagian besar berasal dari satu perusahaan keuangan luar negeri. Program televisi BBC Panorama termasuk satu dari hampir 100 kelompok media yang bersama-sama menyelidiki dokumen ini.

Seperti halnya Panama Papers tahun lalu, dokumen diperoleh oleh surat kabar Jerman Süddeutsche Zeitung, (lagi-lagi Sumbernya tidak disebutkan.) yang kemudian meminta International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) atau Konsorsium Jurnalis Investigatif untuk melakukan penyelidikan.

Sebagian besar data berasal dari perusahaan yang disebut Appleby, perusahaan hukum di Bermuda yang membantu para nasabah membuka perusahaan di luar negeri.

Mitra media ICIJ menyatakan penyelidikan itu demi kepentingan umum karena kebocoran data dari luar negeri itu selalu mengungkap adanya pelanggaran.

Menanggapi kebocoran itu, Appleby mengatakan mereka “puas karena tidak ada bukti adanya pelanggaran, baik oleh kami atau klien kami… Kami tidak mentolerir tindakan ilegal,” perusahaan itu menambahkan.
